Theatre faculty JAMU
The building of the Theatre Faculty of the JAMU was built in 1907-1909 according to the design of the Viennese architect Edmund Schutt. The palace building in the Neo-Baroque style with elements of Viennese Art Nouveau was built on the corner of Mozart and Dvořák Streets. Our academy was founded on 12. September 1947, 31. On August 1959, the division of JAMU into faculties was abolished by a government decision. The Faculty of Theatre was re-established in 1990.

Studio Marta
Studio Marta is a specific experimental space where school projects of students of the Theatre Faculty of JAMU are presented.

Theatre on Orlí Street
Divadlo na Orlí / Musical Drama Laboratory of the JAMU was opened as a new theatre venue of the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts on 24. October. 2012. It offers a variable scene of young art to cultural Brno and contributes to the contemporary architectural form of the city by building on the 2nd century. World War II with a modern building from the studio of Brno architects Pavel Rada and Milan Rak.

The Goose on a String Theatre
The Goose on a String Theatre – a stage of contemporary themes and unexpected forms. Since 1967 it has brought together theatre artists, writers, musicians and visual artists for whom art is a way of life and artistic creation a privilege. The poetics of this theatre-movement is characterised by its emphasis on developing a unique heritage of so-called irregular dramaturgy, the power of imagination and shared physicality.

HaDivadlo
HaDivadlo is located in Palace Alfa—a functionalist complex situated at the corner of Jánská and Poštovská streets, with a passageway through a shopping arcade leading to Náměstí Svobody. Palác Alfa, designed by world-renowned architect Bohuslav Fuchs and built by František Hrdina between 1930 and 1937, is now a protected cultural monument of the Czech Republic.
