The Jan\u00e1\u010dek Academy of Music and Performing Arts was founded in 1947 and is a public higher education institution offering accredited study programs in the field of artistic and creative activities at the bachelor\u2019s, master\u2019s, and doctoral levels. Both the Faculty of Music and the Faculty of Theatre support the growth of talented individuals, provide them with a suitable artistic environment, and prepare them for their professional artistic careers. In recent years, all study programs have undergone a new accreditation process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, the Theatre Faculty has over 350 students, and in the past thirty years, more than a thousand graduateshave entered the professional world. Many of them have become prominent figures in Czech and European artistic and social life.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ec dysis crisis, mom. I know you don’t understand it. Honestly, neither do I. <\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we had to describe the state we’re in with a single word, many of us would probably choose the word crisis<\/em>. But isn’t every era, in some way, a little critical? And is a crisis still a crisis once it becomes the norm? Are we living on the edge \u2014 or already far beyond it? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can the disintegration of the audience’s experience mirror the disintegration we exist within? Can theatrical language grasp a reality that ordinary language cannot? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The performance ec dysis crisis, mami<\/em> explores situations of crisis. Through its open form, it blurs the unified field of audience attention and attempts to communicate personal and societal threshold states through an associative language. It examines the limits of comprehensibility across various reflections of reality, and searches for a way out through incomprehensibility. It works with the format of personal testimony as a response to social phenomena. It abandons meaningful language in an attempt to find meaning again. It deconstructs its own thematic foundations in an attempt to truly claim them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
