Martin Chmel\u00edk \/\/ Blissful Berounka 2026<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each year, I document a scout camp near the village of Divoky. This year we set out on the river for the first time as land scouts. From the fifteen-day camp on the water and back in Divoky, I created my graduation photography series. Here is a small glimpse from the river. The water was so calm you could almost fry an egg on it. Our hands ached from carrying the boats, our heads from the heat, and our stomachs from too much food. What worried me most was the thought of losing equipment worth a fortune atthe bottom of the river\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am a student of Audiovisual Production and Theater. Photography fulfills me the most. However, I can’t do just one thing, so I like to try new things and meet new people. But I prefer to spend my time with people who are close to me. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Calmness, friendship in a few words and eccentricity. I love returning to Berlin and collecting my favorite characters with whom I always experience a brief, meaningful moment. Sometimes with no words used. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am a student at JAMU, majoring in Audiovisual Production and Theatre. I first picked up a camera when I was ten years old, since then I have been constantly discovering what and how to capture. In addition to photography, I also make short movies, which, like most of my photographs, are dedicated to documentary style. Beauty is in the temporarily of every moment. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

And so, despite being forbidden from leaving the pen, it decided to discover the big world. The world beyond the fence. The world out there \u2013 vast and free. But how to succeed in the big world? In that enormous pond full of big fish. How to showcase your talent when you\u2019re not the only talented one? Will anyone even notice you? How to become visible in a society whose values are defined by patriarchal gestures? Is a pair of expensive watches enough? Or knowing someone who\u2019s already at the top? And what would Adam Mi\u0161\u00edk say to all this? Maybe he\u2019d give advice, maybe he\u2019d rap, maybe he could help\u2026 And then there was the man everyone knows. The one who sacrificed himself for the people, yet they still condemned him\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
