Three friends in a hospital. Everything around them seems to be falling—upwards, downwards, and through dimensions. While Cana lies in a coma as a result of racist police violence, Bea and Nelly fall through the hospital. Nelly wants to understand the causes, while Bea tries to pass the time and ease their worries with stories about falling—until the beeping of the monitor interrupts them and the fall begins again.

Meanwhile, Cana dreams of falling. In her dream she encounters people she has lost; she is confronted with questions of memory and remembrance. In the dream that follows, it becomes clearer who these people are. For the violence Cana has experienced is not an isolated case, as even the television and the coffee machine—silent witnesses of the hospital—can attest to her and to anyone who listens. Cana struggles with the outside world, whose violence is so absurd that reality cannot, at times, be distinguished from the dream. She fights against the non-answers of the devices surrounding her, against the monitor that keeps interrupting her thoughts and reminding her of her situation. And she fights with herself—with exhaustion and fear.

Bea and Nelly try to be there for her even without direct contact, but every time they begin to talk about something important, the fall starts again. In doing so, they pass through different floors of the hospital, even down into the basement. At this point, Nelly can no longer bear the falling. After the coffee machine and the television recount further cases of police violence, and after Cana lists an endless number of murdered people, Nelly convinces Bea that they should leave the hospital. They jump from the swing, fly, land.
