The Department of Nonverbal Theater is one of the youngest artistic and educational departments at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague’s Faculty of Music and Dance.
Combining classical and newer genres, the curriculum builds on the tradition of Czech pantomime and offers a modern approach to mime theater that responds to contemporary issues. Teaching focuses primarily on students’ original work. The department offers education with a wide range of applications in the professional artistic sphere, but also in other sectors of society (e.g., pedagogy, adult education, cultural management, etc.).
In this context, the department is a professional training center that provides Czech and foreign artists with a platform for collaboration and further development of the art of mime, and represents the Czech Republic in an ever-expanding international network of professional art schools.

WHO HAS DONE IT?
It is like holding a flower in your hands — the flower you once found in someone else’s house. You liked it, so you picked it to keep it with you.
But in time, the flower wilts and dies.
Did you know that when you picked it?
A detective story on the border between pantomime and physical theatre, with elements of clowning. What happened? Who is the murderer? Come and unravel this case and become witnesses — and perhaps even suspects.
P.S. Footwear is the key.
